About me

My professional journey began when I became a Registered Mental Health Nurse having completed my training in 2006. These experience influenced my therapy approach to recognize the importance of the holistic aspects of well-being - that the  integration of the emotional, spiritual and physical can help in the healing of an individual. I started my training in CBT interventions under the he UK's, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) program in 2008. This nationwide initiative focused on increasing access to psychological therapies across the country. I continued to work and complete various therapy training under IAPT for the National Health Service (NHS) over the last fifteen years. The most recent training I completed in 2021 was in EMDR.  Irrespective of the treatment modality, I have found it essential to learn and honor the knowledge an individual has of their lived experience.
